Sueyoshi-gū

Le grand parc de Sueyoshi, au nord de Naha et tout proche du château de Shuri, abrite un sanctuaire d’où son nom provient : Sueyoshi-gū.

Sueyoshi-gū est un des 8 sanctuaires Ryūkyū, dont Naminoue-gū fait également partie.
Il est dédié à Izanami, déesse de la création et de la mort dans la mythologie japonaise.

Le sanctuaire a été à l’origine Construit entre 1450 et 1457, mais il a été détruit durant la bataille d’Okinawa en 1945. Il a été reconstuit en 1972.

Avant d’accéder à Sueyoshi-gū, qui se trouve au nord du parc après une petite ascension, profitez-en pour vous promenez dans cette forêt perdue au milieu de la ville, vous rappelant la présence du climat subtropical de l’archipel d’Okinawa !
